If a child is accompanied by a family member, the name that will appear in the Waiting Room Tab is who you were contacting with the appointment reminder.

For instance, Jill Baker is the adult family member who's accompanying Patrick Doe and Summer Smith to their appointments. The "+2" symbol means that there are two additional patients waiting in the car with Jill.

The appointment date and time are for the point of contact (Jill Baker) if she has an appointment scheduled. However, if Jill doesn't have an appointment, the first appointment will be for one of the family members she's accompanying.

To get the times for the family member appointments, you'll need to refer to the Schedule on the schedule page, or to your Practice Management Software.

The rest of the check-in process is the same as if the patient wasn't accompanied by anyone.
