Each time you create an NDIS Service User that is either Adult or Children division (i.e. not Elderly which is Aged Care) you will be able to add NDIS funding as below.
The way to set a service user/participant is to add the Division and set it as "Adults" and/or "Children". If you leave this field blank then the service user will be private customer. The only other value is "Elderly" which means they will have HCP funding.
Here is a screenshot of where to set the Division, which determines the funding:
Once the NDIS Service User is created, add the NDIS details and the service charge type:
Set "Brokerage" for Plan Managed where an invoice to Plan Manager will be created
Set "Private" for Self-Managed where the invoice generated goes to the Participant (or nominated person)
Set "NDIS funded" (Agency Managed) where Careflo will create an NDIS claims item that you will later claim through the NDIA Portal (PRODA)
First go to the Service User module, select a service user and then click the "Add NDIS Funding" button:
It is important that you add the Participant Number in correctly and setup the service visit type correctly from the options above. Remember to set as NDIS Funded which means that instead of Careflo creating an invoice to send it will create an NDIS claims item that you will later claim through the NDIA Portal (PRODA). Careflo will prepare the bulk claim file for claiming that contains all the NDIS claims items for the week (and retry any that failed from a previous week). If the participant will claim themselves then set as "Private", if a Plan Manager will claim for them then set to "Brokerage".
For example to track for Support Coordination (SC) you can setup a budget for 07 category if you want to track SC budget and claims.
After adding NDIS Funding, add an NDIS request (purple button next to support coordination button), different from Service Requests in above screenshot.
A Service Request will then allow you to add visits by Support workers into the Schedule. These should be setup with the same service charge type unless they are specifically charged differently which is rare.
