If the person is NDIS Plan Managed / Self managed / Agency managed then you will need to add the NDIS funding – once added you can then complete their NDIS details and select the charge type. This also applies if you provide Support Coordination to them.
Remember that charge type is as follows:
Brokerage = Plan Managed (means the invoice goes to plan manager),
Private=Self-Managed (means invoice goes to the participant or nominated contact)
NDIS Funded=Agency managed (means invoice is converted to a claims item and you claim using a claim batch file from the PRODA portal (NDIS).
Adding NDIS Funding means that you can add an NDIS Request on that participant to track their spend for each applicable support category. One support category equals one NDIS Request and looks something like this:
Note that the budgets are automatically updated when claims are made for that participant.
