Can I give access to support workers so they can see previous case notes? Where does visit information and support worker instruction text get added?

When support workers are asked to go to a new client they sometimes want to read back over past notes to see the history. How can I show it?

In short, Careflo is not designed to share notes with support worker but rather to provide a single area for them to look in order to provide the best (and correct) service. See the below screenshots to see what information the support worker can see for a visit.

There are a couple of reasons for doing it that way:

  1. Firstly support workers may have lots of service users and visits to do and would have a specific task they need to deliver with each visit. The "Visit Info" section is shown on their phone as part of the visit so they can see the important information already pertaining to the participant and visit. This can be reinforced by the support worker notes in schedule regarding the visit because it should equal the service type what they are their to do.

  2. Past info becomes less relevant because they are there to deliver a service and they have the above information to go on. Reading lots of history can also distract them from what you want to do and also can take up a fair bit of time that is better spent delivering services.

If you decide you want to share notes (and other information) anyway

However if you do decide you want to share notes you have the option to give support workers read only access for both Service User and Information modules. This way they cannot change anything but can view the information and search by service user module and or information module and key word search. You run the risk that they will see everyone’s case notes and other service user information/documents but they won’t be able to change/add anything.
