Why does my support worker not have working with children as applicable, or why does Careflo say Specialisation missing?

In a support worker's profile Careflo has her listed as not applicable for "working with children", how do I fix that?

Support workers have 3 different specialisations in Careflo:

  1. Elderly refers to Aged Care,

  2. Work with Adults refers to NDIS care (not children)

  3. Work with Children refers to NDIS care

In the support worker list (Staff module -> Support Workers) you can see all their specialisations in their tags.

You can easily tell which support workers have elderly, adults, children set in the support worker list here:

Sometimes you may notice that it says "Specialisation Missing":

Or you might see that working with children is "Not Applicable" in the Support worker Details screen:

To update the specialisations simply go to the support worker details:

  • Tick the boxes to indicate the types of Service User that this candidate may work with: Work with elderly / Work with adults / Work with children. When scheduling appointments, this information will help with assigning the correct Support Workers to the Service Users.
NOTE: Elderly refers to Aged Care, whereas Work with Adults / Children refers to NDIS care.

After you have added the Children tag for example, you need to add their WWC (working with children) details:
