How are rates configured?

There are several places in the CareSmartz360 software where agencies can set up rates.

  1. Often, you'll want to set some default Bill rates and Pay rates on the Rates tab in the office settings.

  2. You may need to set a rate that is specific to a payer, for instance, your rate to bill for personal care might be different for your Long Term Care insurance than it is for your regular private pay clients.

  3. You might set a unique bill rate in a client profile if that client requires extra work by your caregivers or is getting a discounted rate for some reason.

  4. Unique pay rates can also be set in the payer profile, the caregiver profile, or the client profile.

This is how the software will determine which of these rates to use.

For Billing

  1. Client profile rates will override any other rate

  2. Payer profile rates will override office settings

  3. Office settings are the base

For Payroll

  1. Client profile rates will override any other rate

  2. Caregiver profile rates will override Payer profile and Office Setttings

  3. Payer profile rates will override Office Settings

  4. Office settings are the base
