Replacing a user in an initiated approval process

Replace a user in the approval process without returning the document to in progress

A user can be replaced in an approval process that is already underway on a document — for example, due to the temporary absence of a staff member assigned to a role.

It can happen that a document stalls in the publication process because a user assigned to a role is absent due to leave or other reasons. Previously, the document would have to be returned to in progress, the party changed, and the approval process restarted. It is now possible to replace a user even after the approval process has been initiated, allowing the document to be published quickly and without disruption.

The next time the document is taken into the working documents module, the roles are restored according to the registered approval process.

The video below gives a short overview of this functionality.
