Republishing a document

Once a document has been published, it can be republished without returning it to in progress, using the same or an incremented version number.

This applies only when the document's content remains unchanged and it is therefore unnecessary to initiate a new approval process. The most common reasons for republishing are an annual review where no content changes are required, or a change to metadata such as the document's location in the table of contents or other classification.

To republish a document with the status Published, click Reserve document and select Republish document under the Actions button. The document publisher has these rights, or the responsible party if no publisher is defined in the document's approval process.

If a document is due for review, it can be republished by clicking Reserve document and selecting Republish.

The video below gives an overview of this functionality.
