Planning your Murph event? Here’s how to set it up smoothly using Chalk It Pro:


Step 1 – Create a Dedicated Track

Tracks are the core of your gym in Chalk It Pro. They organize and separate features like:

  • Memberships

  • Schedule

  • Programming

  • Chalk Talk

Creating a separate Murph Track allows you to:

βœ… Track event-specific metrics
βœ… Control access
βœ… Keep your gym operations organized


Step 2 – Grant Access via Memberships

There are two ways to give access to your Murph Track:

  • βœ… Through Memberships (recommended)

  • πŸ”§ Manually granting access

Using memberships is the easiest and most efficient method. Here's how to decide what works best:

🎟 Free Event for Current Members?

  • Just assign the Murph Track to your existing membership plans.

πŸ’° Paid Drop-Ins or Open to the Public?

  • Attach the Track to your drop-in membership(s) too.

πŸŽ— Charity Event or Paid Entry?

  • Create a new membership plan (e.g., Murph 2025)

  • Assign only the Murph Track to this membership

  • Share the signup link or QR code to collect registrations

πŸ’‘ Even if it’s a free event, using a temporary membership still helps:

  • Track attendance - See members who have access in Tracks or filter by membership in Members (reserving for class is the main method)

  • Automatically expire access post-event to keep your Member section clutter-free

πŸ”§ Recommended Setup:
➑️ 1-Class Punch Card Membership with an expiration date shortly after the event.


Step 3 – Schedule Your Murph Classes or Heats

Using your Murph Track, schedule the class or multiple heats for Memorial Day (or your chosen event day).
This ensures that only those with the right membership can reserve spots.

❌ Don’t forget to cancel your regular classes for that day!


Steps 4, 5 & 6 – Final Touches

Step 4 – Create SOPs & Day-of Docs

Upload any day-of procedures or documents and assign them to the Murph Membership (or general memberships).

Step 5 – Program the Murph Workout

Add the workout directly to the Murph Track, so it’s available to participants only.

Step 6 – Use Chalk Talk & Announcements

Send updates, reminders, and any day-of info via Chalk Talk or the Announcements feature inside the Murph Track.
