Search, filter and change the feed layout

Use global search when you are not sure which dataset contains an item. Use a feed's filters when you know the source and want a focused working list.

Use global search when you are not sure which dataset contains an item. Use a feed's filters when you know the source and want a focused working list.

Search across sources

  1. Use the search box in the app header.

  2. Enter a useful keyword, phrase or known item reference and submit the search.

  3. Review the separate Message Center, Microsoft 365 Roadmap and Azure Updates result groups.

  4. Open a result to inspect its complete record.

Search results are limited to the data your account can access. An empty group can mean no matches for that source; an error message means the request failed and should not be treated as proof that no matching items exist.

Filter within a feed

Start with the appropriate source and curated view. Choose the available product, category, impact, status or date controls. Multiple restrictions can make a list much smaller. A view such as High Admin Impact also carries its own fixed condition, shown in the view's description or filter chip.

For a broad search, return to All Items and remove unnecessary filters. On a phone, open Filters to reveal the controls.

Choose Table or Cards

  • Table presents records in columns for comparison. Open the item title for details.

  • Cards provides compact records you can expand inline.

Use a sortable column heading in Table, or the available sort controls in Cards. Choose 25, 50 or 100 items per page and use the page controls to browse additional results.

Keep a useful query

The URL carries the filters, sort and page. Copy it to return to the query or share it with another authorised user. Select Save as View to give it a name where your account allows it.

If a link contains unsupported filters

Read the warning before removing anything. The beta identifies filters it cannot understand instead of silently treating them as valid. Remove the unsupported restriction only if the resulting broader query still answers your question.

New filter and navigation controls

Use Labels to filter by your personal or shared organisation labels. The control appears when labels are available. Use the Dates control to select a date field and range; active filter chips show which restrictions apply. Several filters combine, so clear an unintended restriction if a result disappears.

In table layout, Columns lets you choose the fields to display where offered. Filters remain available on smaller screens through the filter controls.

Use the options beside a curated sidebar entry to Hide it. Use the hidden-reports control to reveal hidden entries and Unhide an entry when needed. Hiding a menu entry does not delete its data. The main menu can also be collapsed and reopened.
