Why Add a Lead Manually?

There are instances when a potential customer contacts your moving company via phone, and you need to capture their information quickly. In such cases, Chariot provides a simple solution for manually adding leads.

Accessing the "Add Lead" Button

To manually add a lead in Chariot, follow these steps:

1. Locate the "Add Lead" Button: In Chariot, the "Add Lead" button is conveniently positioned in the top left corner of the interface. You can access this button from any screen within Chariot.

2. Click the "Add Lead" Button: Simply click on the red "Add Lead" button, and it will open a dialogue box for you to input the lead's information.

Required Information

The manual lead entry form requests several pieces of information, but only the fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. These include:

  • Name: The name of the customer.

  • Phone Number: A contact number for the customer.

  • Email: An email address to reach the customer.

  • Moving Type: Specify the type of moving services requested, whether it's a full move or a load-only move.

Depending on your company's preferences, you may also be required to provide:

  • Move Date: The date when the customer plans to move.

  • At Least One Location: You need to input at least one location. You can specify an exact address, but if you don't have that information, you can enter a state, city, neighborhood, or even "USA" to serve as a placeholder.

Publishing the Lead

After entering the required information, click the "Publish Lead" button. Your lead will then be posted in Chariot, and you will be redirected to the job details page for this lead. The default status for manually added leads will be set to "Intake in Progress."
