In this tutorial, we'll guide you through the seamless process of collecting payments in Chariot. Whether you're at the office or in the field, Chariot provides you with convenient options to log payments and keep your transactions organized.

Collecting Payments from the Office

  1. Navigate to the Results Tab:

    • Head to the results tab for the specific job.

    • Locate the "Work Times" section for charge input.

  2. New Payment:

    • Click on the "New Payment" button on the right-hand side.

    • Choose to log a payment manually or charge the customer through various methods.

  3. Payment Options:

    • Charge by credit card.

    • Charge through ACH for commercial customers.

    • Send a payment link for easy online payment with your customers

  4. Customer Payment Page:

    • If sending a payment link, customers receive a page with job details and options for payment.

    • A QR Code can also be utilized to generate a payment link.

Collecting Payments in the Field

  1. Digital Bill of Lading:

    • As a crew member finishing a job, select "New Payment" on the digital bill of lading.

  2. Payment Options:

    • Log a payment or charge the customer directly from the Chariot mobile interface.

Viewing Payments in Chariot

  1. Results Tab:

    • Payments made through Chariot automatically log in to the Results Tab.

  2. Transaction ID:

    • Each payment comes with a transaction ID linking to a detailed dashboard.

  3. Reports:

    • Chariot offers reports summarizing all collected payments in one place.

  4. Payment Receipts:

    • Customers receive payment receipts via email for card or ACH transactions, also uploaded in the job documents.
