Access the Integrations Page

To access the integrations page:

  • Click your email in the top-right corner.

  • Select "Account" from the dropdown menu.

  • On the Account page, click "Integrations."

If HubSpot is not yet connected, you will see an option to connect your account.


Connecting HubSpot

Log into HubSpot

Ensure you are logged into the HubSpot account you want to connect.

Connect your account

  • Click the "Connect" button under the HubSpot section.

  • If you have access to multiple HubSpot accounts, select the correct one.

Authorize Charm.io

When prompted, click "Allow" to grant the necessary permissions.

Once these steps are completed, you will be redirected to the integration page, and your connection will be established.


Configuring the HubSpot Integration

  • On the Integrations page, click the "Configure" button under HubSpot.

  • You will be taken to the HubSpot integration settings page.

  • Click the "Fields Mapping" tab to start mapping fields between Charm.io and HubSpot.


Mapping Charm.io Fields to HubSpot

  • Click the "+ Field" button to add a new mapping.

  • Choose a Charm.io field and select the corresponding HubSpot field.

  • Repeat this process for each field you need to map by clicking "+ Field" again.

  • Click "Save" once all mappings are completed.

Important:

  • Only fields of the same type (e.g., text to text, number to number) can be mapped.

  • If a required field is missing in HubSpot, you may need to create a custom field.


Creating Custom Fields in HubSpot

If the necessary HubSpot fields do not already exist, follow these steps to create them.

Open the Property Settings

  • In Hubspot, click the gear icon in the top-right corner to access "Settings."

  • On the left-hand side select "Properties".

  • On the Properties page select "Company Properties" from the select an object dropdown.

Add a Custom Field

  • click "Create property."

  • Add the property label, ensure it's a company property and select which group you'd like the property to be added to

    • You can add Charm properties directly to the Company Properties or create a custom group specifically for Charm properties.

  • Click field type on the left-hand side based on the data from Charm.io:

    • Use "Number" for numerical fields.

    • Use "Single-line text" or "Multi-line text" for text fields longer than 255 characters.

  • Once finished click "Create".


Removing Old Charm.io Integration Data

Option 1: Deleting Old Charm Data

If Charm 1 data is no longer needed:

  • Archive all existing properties within the Charm property group.

  • Delete the property group by selecting “Delete” from the list.

Once deleted, create a new custom group or add fields to the company properties.


Option 2: Reusing Existing Properties

If some existing Charm 1 properties are still relevant, you can:

  • Remove redundant properties that are no longer needed or no longer supported.

  • Reuse any properties that match the data required for Charm 2.

By following these steps, you can successfully configure your HubSpot integration for Charm.io and manage your data efficiently.
