How is Charm collecting product sales information?

Charm collects all product sales data using our own proprietary data collection infrastructure β€” this is not sourced from a third party. Our system tracks publicly available product and pricing data across DTC storefronts daily, and our proprietary modeling system uses those signals to generate product-level sales estimates.

How accurate is this data?

The estimates are directional and designed to surface meaningful patterns in product performance, pricing, and demand. Like all modeled sales data in the ecommerce intelligence space, these are not reported actuals. We continuously validate our models against known data points and refine them over time.

We recommend using this data for competitive benchmarking, trend analysis, and identifying relative performance across products and brands rather than treating individual figures as exact.

How do I find specific products?

Use the Product Explorer to search by product name, filter by keyword (e.g., "vegan"), or filter by brand name. Click any brand name in the Product Explorer to view its full product catalog with associated sales data.

Can I access sales data further back than 30 days?

Not at this time. The beta provides a rolling 30-day window, updated daily. Extending the historical range is on our roadmap and will be part of a future release once enough history has accumulated.

Do sales prices account for discounts and promotions?

Yes. Pricing data reflects what is publicly listed on the DTC storefront at the time of collection, including any active discounts or promotional pricing. This means Revenue and Average Price estimates reflect the prices customers actually see and pay.

Does this data represent sales made only through a brand's DTC website?

Yes. Estimates are specific to sales made through a brand's own DTC website and do not include sales through Amazon or other marketplaces, wholesale distribution, or retail partners.

How can I see all brands for which product sales data is available?

You can view the full list in the Product Explorer. The brand list is filterable by category and other criteria, so you can narrow it down to the brands most relevant to you.

How can I filter within a category β€” like makeup or skincare within Beauty?

Subcategory filtering is not available in the current beta. In the meantime, we recommend using the product keyword filter to narrow results to more relevant segments. More granular filtering is something we're actively exploring based on feedback from beta users.

Do you have insights into average order value?

Average order value is not currently part of Charm's product sales data. The beta focuses on Revenue, Units Sold, and Average Price at the individual product level. We're evaluating additional metrics for future releases.

Are 30-day averages available for product categories?

Not yet, but they're in the works. The current beta provides data at the individual product level. Category-level rollups and averages are on our roadmap as we build out the capability.

How do I get in touch with a question not listed here?

We'd love to hear from you. Reply to any beta email you've received, or reach out directly to support@charm.io β€” our team will get back to you. No question is too small.
