1. Why has my message been flagged?
Chatsie Scam Shield is designed to help keep you safe from potential scams by analysing incoming text messages for signs of suspicious content. It doesn’t rely on a fixed list of flagged numbers—instead, it uses intelligent pattern detection to assess the likelihood that a message might be harmful. We look out for things like:
Unknown or suspicious web links
Words or phrases commonly used in scam messages
Messages that don’t match your usual correspondence patterns
References to known scam domains or tactics
If a message triggers any of these signals, Chatsie Scam Shield will flag it with a warning. This doesn’t necessarily mean the message is dangerous—but it does mean it’s worth being cautious. The goal is to help you make safer decisions about what to read, tap, or reply to. Scammers can be clever and convincing, especially over text. If something doesn’t feel right — or if you’re unsure — it’s always best to delete the message, avoid clicking links, and block the sender. And remember, you can always reach out to Chatsie Support if you’d like help reviewing a flagged message or blocking a number.
2. What should I do next?
Never click on a link from a number you don’t recognize.
Delete the message if you don't trust its origin.
If you’re still concerned, contact Chatsie support for assistance, and/or guidance.
