A stylus can be used as a substitute for your fingers, to tap buttons on the phone screen.
Note: It does not work for the buttons on the side of the phone.
Hold it like a pencil, and use the soft, rubber end to press down on the screen.
You may need to practice a few times to understand how hard to press on the screen.
