Our Products feature makes it easy to sync your ERP with ChemCloud - using the same product names as codes as in your own system - with the added benefit of linking these products to Approved Materials, and the Request Quote flow.
How do I find products?
You'll see there's a new products tab up in the top navigation, and there's three items here. Products, Watchlist, and Approved Materials. We can go through each of these in three separate articles.
First, let's explore Products.
'My products'
This is where you can upload all of the products that you source. Each product has several pieces of information:
Product Name: A customisable name to match your ERP
Product Code: A customisable code to match your ERP
Generic Product: The product this is linked to in the ChemCloud database
Annual Volume: Annual volume you rouces of this material
Approved Materials: The number of approved materials of this product stored on Chemcloud
Watchlist: Whether this product is included on your watchlist or not
Product Page and Making a Request
You can click into a product page which gives you additional details like a list of your approved materials, your request and order history - and an easy way to request a quote from your approved suppliers. When you 'Request Quote' from a product page, it will pre-load your approved suppliers.
Customisable product names
We know that over time, products are often entered into an ERP based on a trade name. Customisable product names allows us to use the same product name as your ERP - but link it to the correct generic product. This is helpful when looking to source from more than 1 supplier.
Adding a product
Adding a product is simple - just click 'Add product'. If you would like us to do the work for you you can also import a file.
