Products is where you manage your raw materials catalogue. Each product represents a raw material you source, using the same names and codes as your ERP. Products link to Approved Materials and the Request Quote flow.
What is a product?
A product in ChemCloud represents one of your raw materials. It stores:
Product Name - Your internal name (matches your ERP)
Product Code - Your internal code (matches your ERP)
Generic Product - Links to the ChemCloud database for sourcing
Annual Volume - How much you source each year
Target Approvals - How many approved suppliers you want
Documents Required - Which document types are required for approvals
Priority Product - Flag for filtering in Analytics
The Products list
The Products page shows all your raw materials with key information:
Column | What it shows |
Product Name | Your internal product name |
Product Code | Your internal product code |
Generic Product | The linked ChemCloud product |
Approved Materials | Number of approved supplier sources |
Watchlist | Whether the product is on your watchlist |
Use the search bar to filter by product name or code.

Click on any product to see its full details:
Price history - All quotes received for this product
Approvals - Approved materials for this product
Request and order history - Past requests and orders
Request Quote button - Pre-loads your approved suppliers
Customisable names and codes
ChemCloud uses your product names and codes from your ERP - even if they're trade names. Behind the scenes, each product links to a generic product in the ChemCloud database. This means:
Your team sees familiar names from your ERP
ChemCloud can match products across suppliers for sourcing
You can source the same generic product from multiple suppliers
Adding products
You can add products in two ways:
Manually - Click Add Product and enter the details
Import - Upload a file and we'll do it for you
