There's no way to directly edit the email recipient for a recurring e-Transfer payment. However, if you need to change your recurring payment to reflect a new email address, there's a simple workaround — and you won't need to fully cancel your recurring payment if you'd like to keep your transaction history.
How to Update the Payee's Email Address
From the Dashboard, click on the recurring payment you wish to update.
On the Recurring Payment Details page, click "Pause"
If you want to permanently cancel the recurring payment and remove it from your records entirely, click "More" then select "Delete Payment"
⚠️ Note: Choosing to cancel a recurring payment this way will permanently delete all transaction history associated with it. If you want to keep access to your payment history in the future, we recommend simply pausing the payment instead of cancelling it.
Click "New Recurring Payment" on the Dashboard and set up a new Interac e-Transfer payment using the updated email address
Once your new payment is active, you’re all set! ✅
⚠️ Make sure to double check your original payment has been successfully paused to avoid and risk of duplicate charges ⚠️
