Pausing a payment is a temporary action that stops future payments while keeping your transaction history intact. This is useful if you want to cancel or change a recurring payment temporarily without permanently losing your records. It allows you to resume payments later without starting from scratch.
When Should You Pause a Payment?
If you want to temporarily stop or cancel a recurring payment but still want to keep your transaction history
If you need time to change a recurring payment's card details or update your billing preferences
If you want to prevent a future charge but may resume payments later
If you're looking to change your recurring payment setup entirely, pausing first is the recommended first step
How to Pause a Payment:
Go to app.chexy.co and log in to your account, or the Chexy mobile app.
Select the payment you want to pause from your dashboard.
Click on the Pause button to stop future payments.
Once paused, your payment will remain inactive until you choose to reactivate it. If you're looking to fully cancel a recurring payment or change it to a new setup, you can do so after pausing by clicking More and selecting Delete Payment.
⚠️ You cannot pause or cancel a recurring payment if your card has already been charged for the current billing cycle. In such cases, you may need to contact support for further assistance.
