How to Refine Your Sermon Using Church.tech

If you are working with a draft version of your sermon, Church.tech is here to help you polish it for delivery. This guide walks you through the steps to make final adjustments and take your sermon from good to great. Watch this video tutorial from Josh.

Step 1: Practice and Record Your Sermon

Practice Your Sermon

Start by practicing your sermon as you normally would to get comfortable with your delivery.

Record Your Sermon

Use your phone or computer to record yourself, either as a voice memo or a video file.

Upload Your Recording

Once your recording is ready:

  1. Go to the Upload section on Church.tech.

  2. Select “Upload an Audio or Video File.”

  3. Choose your practice sermon file and upload it. This only takes a couple of minutes.

Step 2: Refine Your Sermon in the Playground

Access the Playground

After uploading your sermon, head over to the Playground section. This is where you can use tools and prompts to enhance your sermon.

Use Saved Prompts

  1. Click on “Saved Prompts.”

  2. Look for prompts under the Sermon Analysis category.

Step 3: Choose a Prompt and Analyze Your Sermon

Prompt: Insider vs. Outsider Focus

If your sermon is meant to be inviting for newcomers, you’ll want to ensure it’s accessible. Use the Insider vs. Outsider Focus prompt to check if your sermon speaks more to people familiar with your church or newcomers.

Run the Analysis

The tool will give your sermon a rating from 1 to 10. For example, a rating of 4 suggests it's more focused on insiders.

Adjust Your Sermon

If you’d like to make your sermon more welcoming to outsiders, you can ask for recommendations. The tool will provide suggestions to shift your focus and make adjustments.

Step 4: Make Final Adjustments

Review Suggestions

Carefully review the tool’s suggestions. Remember, these are just recommendations to help you improve.

Re-evaluate as Needed

Make your changes and run the analysis again to see if your sermon has improved its audience focus.

Conclusion

With Church.tech, you can ensure your sermon is impactful for your audience. The analysis tools give you fresh insights to make final adjustments quickly and effectively.
