Editor’s Picks allows you to tag an event with a specific label so you can easily pull those events into print, newsletters, widgets, and other features. It also promotes the event on your calendar.
There are a few different ways to tag an event as an Editor’s Pick.
Calendar Page
To access this option, you’ll need to be logged in to the calendar as a Manager or Agent. Otherwise, you will not see the Editor’s Picks option.
When viewing your calendar, you’ll see a ribbon icon to the right of the trash can icon. Select the ribbon icon to tag the event as an Editor’s Pick.
Admin
You can also find the Editor’s Picks option in the Admin under View All Events.
Go to admin.cityspark.com
Events
Events
View All Events.
Here are the different ways Editor’s Picks can be used:
Widgets
Populate a widget with Editor’s Picks instead of popular events
Go to admin.cityspark.com
Select Events.
Select Widgets.
Select View Widgets to edit an existing widget, or Create Widget to create a new one.
Scroll down to Event Filters.
Find the Editor’s Picks field and toggle it on.
Always scroll to the bottom of the page and select Save when editing an existing widget or Create when creating a new widget.
Calendar Subsets
This is set up automatically for you. Any event tagged as an Editor’s Pick will appear when Editor’s Picks is selected under the All Events tab to the right of the search box.
Hot Links
Create and include custom buttons on your portal that highlight specific content, categories, searches, and more.
These buttons appear between the menu and the events listed on your calendar. Hot Links are created and managed by you. For more information about Hot Links, see our training article: What are Calendar Hot Links
