These indicate the cookbooks position on the 1000 Cookbooks ranking of the best cookbooks of all time. This has been compiled by ckbk with input from more than 800 chefs, writers and food experts, each of whom shared a list of their top 10 cookbooks. On ckbk you can view our cookbook collection ordered by their ranking in the Top 1000 to find the most recommended titles.
On the home page of a highly ranked book such as Keep it Simple, Mediterranean Seafood or The Cooking of Southwest France you will see who recommended the book, and what they said about it, and you can click on the recommender's name to see the rest of their top 10 list and perhaps what books they have on ckbk. Many happy hours can be spent exploring the web of recommendations. Note that even if one of the recommended books is not on ckbk (yet), you can still follow a link to purchase a print copy.
