Clearent integration enables seamless, secure in-store transactions and credit card storage, streamlining payments for customers. While other card terminals can be used, they do not offer direct integration with CleanCloud.

Setting Up Your In-Store Card Terminal
Once onboarded with Clearent (Learn more here about Clearent Hosted Payments), follow these steps to start processing in-store payments:
1. Set Up Your Terminal
- Unbox your Clearent terminal and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to connect it via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. 
- Power on the device and wait for the "POS ONLINE" message, confirming a successful connection. 
2. Connect Clearent to CleanCloud
- Log in to CleanCloud as an Admin. 
- Navigate to Settings → Hardware → Payment Terminals. 
- In the Clearent Terminal API section, enter the API Key provided by your Clearent representative. 
- Click Update to save changes. 
Processing In-Store Payments
From the New Order Page
- Create an order as usual, selecting "Pay by Card (Clearent)" as the payment method. 
- Upon submission, the payment request is sent to the terminal, displaying instructions on the screen. 
- Once the transaction is complete, CleanCloud confirms the payment. 
From the Ready Page
- Click the Payment button next to the order you wish to charge. 
- In the payment pop-up, choose "Pay by Card (Clearent)". 
- The amount is sent to the card terminal for processing. 
- Once the terminal confirms payment, CleanCloud automatically updates the order as Paid. 
🪄 Tip: Clearent integration allows for tip adjustments during payment processing, providing flexibility for customer gratuities.
