How To Run Your Regular Payroll

Step-by-step guide to running your regular payroll in CleanCloud, including tips, deadlines, and payment method requirements.

Regular payrolls are directly linked to your company’s pay schedule and pay periods.

If you need to:

  • Change the dates of the pay period you're running payroll for (such as running payroll early), or

  • Run a second payroll alongside your regular one...

You’ll want to run an Off-Cycle Payroll instead.


How To Run Your Regular Payroll

  1. Go to Settings → Users → Payroll.

  2. Select the Pay Period, if necessary.

  3. Click Run Payroll.

  4. Review all Employee's Hours, Tips, Bonuses & Reimbursements.

  5. Select a Payment Method.

    • If you are paying by Check, you will have to handwrite these and pass them to your employees. Gusto will not mail Checks to employees.

  6. Click Save & Continue.

  7. Click Submit.

  8. Click Back To Main Screen.

    • Here you have the ability to Cancel Payroll, or View Details and the Receipt.

⚠️ Heads up: The deadline to submit your payroll is 4 PM PT on the day you choose to run. Failure to do so could result in late payment to your staff.
