🪄 Tip: Already own a domain? Easily link it to your CleanCloud website. If not, consider purchasing a domain from providers like GoDaddy, Squarespace, or Namecheap for seamless integration.
Connecting Your Custom Domain to Your CleanCloud Website
Step 1: Associate Your Domain in CleanCloud
Log in to your CleanCloud account.
Navigate to Settings > Admin > Hosted Website.
Click Settings > Domain.
Enter your domain name without the www prefix.
Example: Enter
example.cominstead ofwww.example.com
Click Associate.
Your domain is now linked to your website within CleanCloud. The next step is to update your DNS settings with your domain provider.
Step 2: Update Your DNS Settings
Log in to your domain provider (e.g. GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Squarespace). For specific GoDaddy set-up, please follow the steps here.
Navigate to your domain’s DNS Settings page.
Add the following A Records:

Then, Save your changes.
Please note that your domain provider may already have some DNS records configured by default. These records may need to be removed before adding the records above. Please refer to the video tutorial above for an example of how this can be done.
Updating DNS Records in GoDaddy
Follow these steps to point your GoDaddy domain to your CleanCloud website:
Log in to your GoDaddy account.
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select My Products.
Select Domain in the left side menu, then locate your domain and click DNS.
Please note that some existing DNS records may need to be removed before adding the records below. Refer to the video tutorial for guidance on which records should be deleted.
Click Add New Record.
Click Add More Records to create both records at the same time.
Add the following DNS records:
Click Save All Records.
If prompted, verify and confirm the changes.
Additional DNS Information
If you’re in a trial period with your domain provider, DNS settings may be restricted. Contact their support team for assistance if needed.
Ensure any restrictions are resolved before proceeding with these instructions.
Not Sure Where You Purchased Your Domain? Use WHOIS Lookup: Visit public domain registries like WHOIS to check information about your domain registrar.
Remove the CleanCloud Site from Google Indexing
Once your custom domain is connected and working correctly, you can prevent Google from indexing the cleancloud.site version of your website.
This helps avoid duplicate content appearing in search results and ensures search engines focus on your custom domain instead.
Confirm that your custom domain is connected and your website is accessible.
Navigate to Admin > Hosted Website.
Go to Settings and locate the Index on Google setting.
Click Remove Index on CC Site.
Google may take some time to process this change. During this period, the cleancloud.site version of your website may still appear in search results temporarily.
No SSL Certificate Required
CleanCloud provides a free SSL certificate for your hosted website. There’s no need to purchase one separately.

To add your own Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, you’ll need to set up a CleanCloud-hosted website.
