How to Purchase SMS Credits

Learn how to top up SMS credits in CleanCloud, set auto top-ups, and troubleshoot issues to keep customer notifications seamless.

To maintain seamless SMS communication with your customers, it’s important to keep your SMS credits topped up. Each SMS credit covers up to 160 characters.


How to Buy SMS Credits

  1. Go to Settings → Admin → Notifications → SMS → SMS Credits → Buy SMS Credits.

  2. Choose a bundle of 1,000 or 5,000 credits and click Buy to complete the purchase.

📌 Note: Ensure your payment card details are up-to-date. You can update or add a card via Settings → Admin → Admin Tools → Update Card Details.


What If You Run Out of SMS Credits?

If you exhaust your SMS credits:

  • Notifications will automatically switch to email to ensure customers still receive updates.

  • A message will alert your staff, as shown below, so they’re aware of the change and can manage customer expectations.

🪄 Tip: Enable auto top-up to automatically replenish credits when they fall below 100, preventing service interruptions.


Troubleshooting

  • Currency Compatibility: Verify that the currency displayed on the SMS Credits page matches your CleanCloud payment currency. If there's a discrepancy, please contact Support.

  • Multistore Setup: If you're having trouble purchasing SMS credits, it may be due to the payment card being linked only to the master (billing) account, rather than the specific store you're using. Contact Support for further assistance if you encounter any issues.
