Expiration Notice and Configuration
Here’s a breakdown of how expiration notices now work in the system:
In the event that a step expires:
• Student will receive an email notification prior to the expiration date (entered at the time of verification). Notices will follow the same schedule set in the step’s reminder notification schedule.
• When a step expires, the status will change from Complete to Incomplete or Awaiting verification based on the configuration in the step. The default setting has the step go from Complete to Incomplete. When the student submits updated information, the status will change from Incomplete to Awaiting verification.
• Verifiers will be able to easily determine which information was originally verified and which file is the new submission. When verifying, it will ask again when the new submission should expire.
Note: Expiration dates cannot be set in the past. If the student submitted on time and the verifier did not get to the submission until after the submission expired, you would have the set the date of expiration to that day.
There are new notifications about expirations that can be adjusted in your notification settings. They are defaulted to on.
