Terms and Definitions

  • Elective Request Settings: If you are posting the opportunity to the find clinical experiences page for students to apply to, you can configure settings to allow or block students from specific schools.

  • Student requirements:

    • Select a student year: Optionally limit the opportunity to only allow a student in one or more specific years of study.

    • Accepted Disciplines: Optionally limit the opportunity to only allow a student in one or more specific disciplines. You can default to allow disciplines from your school relationships or a custom selection within the range of that relationship.

  • Rotations available to all schools: Number of total rotations for the opportunity. These rotations will be distributed between schools after you add one or more schools.

  • + Add opportunity school: Select an affiliate school eligible for the opportunity. You can add one or more schools to an opportunity or keep it open.

    • School/Program: Search and select the school the opportunity is for.

    • Agreement: If applicable, select the affiliation agreement with that school.

    • Automatically approve rotation requests from this school: If selected, rotations scheduled by the school will automatically be approved; if not selected, rotations scheduled will be put into a "awaiting clinical site approval" status.

    • Maximum rotations: Out of all the rotations available in the opportunity, assign the number of rotations this school is limited to.

    • Guaranteed rotations: Number of rotations the school will have available to them, regardless if they use them or not.

    • How should this school's guaranteed rotations be released to others?

      • Never, these rotations are for this school only: Even if the school does not confirm or schedule onto all rotations allotted, they will not be released to others.

      • Release rotations when the school confirms how many they'll use: When the school confirms how many rotations they will use, any leftover rotations are released to the remaining schools.

      • Automatically release unscheduled rotations after the confirmation deadline: When the confirmation deadline is met, any rotations not used are released to be assigned to the remaining schools.

      • Automatically release unscheduled rotations after the request end date: When the end date for scheduling is met, any rotations not used are released to be assigned to the remaining schools.

    • Dates & deadlines:

      • Request start date: First day school can begin scheduling rotations.

      • Confirmation deadline: Last day the school can confirm how many rotations they will be scheduling onto.

      • Request end date: Last day the school can schedule rotations.

    • Allow Placeholder students:

      • If toggled on, schools can create rotations without immediately assigning students. The school will be able to temporarily schedule placeholder students in lieu of real, named students.
