Automated Care Messaging and the Staff Add-on are powerful tools to help you communicate with your care community. Here are some tips to help you leverage these powerful tools to communicate more efficiently without making any sacrifices to security or privacy.

Note: these are only guidelines; we understand that policies will vary by organization. You should always defer to your Organization's Legal or Leadership teams for alignment on what information to share via Automated Care Messaging.

Two Tips Around Security and Privacy

1. Messages that you compose will be sent by Phone, Text, or Email, so please be mindful of these consumption methods, and make sure you are comfortable with the message contents being conveyed by these means. Messages sent by phone could include voicemail if the intended recipient is not available to answer.

Please see this article on Communication Methods for more details on how messages are delivered, and how to make changes to these settings, if desired, either at the Organization, or individual contact level.

2. Messages that you compose may be consumed by multiple different contacts for each resident. By default, messages are sent to two contacts per Resident (for ACM). Please be mindful of this, and make sure you are comfortable with multiple individuals receiving a given message for each resident.

More details on which contact(s) will receive messages that you compose are also available in the article on Communication Methods referenced above.
