Every organization records business transactions in a set of books and they have to close the books in a certain period. It may depend on the company and even the country’s policy.
Changing Your Fiscal Year
You can change your fiscal year by simply going to Settings, then to Model Settings, and clicking the 'Fiscal years begins in' drop down to select the month your fiscal year starts. It will be January by default.
What Does It Change?
Adjusting your Fiscal Year will change the layout of your financial model (Baseline and Scenarios), Metrics looking at yearly performance or YTD, and your Metric tiles on your Dashboard.
