If a sent request needs a change, choose the action that matches the problem. Correct a pending recipient's details, or cancel the request before replacing its content.

These actions are available to the document owner and managers of the team with which the document is shared.

Correct a pending recipient

  1. Open the document from Documents.

  2. On Signing progress, select the pencil beside the pending recipient's name. Its label starts with Correct.

  3. Update Full name and Email address.

  4. Add a Reason (optional) if you want to record why you made the change.

  5. Select Review correction.

  6. Check the current and corrected details, then select Confirm correction.

The document and completed signatures stay unchanged. The previous signing link stops working, and the corrected recipient must verify their email.

Use an email address that is not already assigned to another recipient on this document. You cannot use this action to change someone who has already completed their action.

If RakeSign says the document changed, refresh it and review the recipient's current status before trying again.

Cancel an outstanding request

  1. Open the document while it shows Awaiting signatures.

  2. Select Cancel this request.

  3. Read the confirmation and select Cancel request.

People can no longer sign. The document and its activity record stay available.

Choose Keep request in the confirmation if you do not want to cancel.

Change the document content

Use Create an editable copy to create a draft that you can edit. Review its files, recipients, and fields, then send it as a new request.

Creating a copy does not cancel the original request. If the original should stop accepting signatures, cancel it separately.

Delete an unused draft

For a draft that has not been sent, open the editor, choose More, and select Delete draft. Confirm only if you no longer need its content or setup.

Deleting a draft cannot be undone. Cancelling a sent request keeps its document and activity record.
