Connecting with your subscribers via chat

Chat gives you a live space to connect with your subscribers in real time. It is organised into threads, similar to an Instagram Broadcast Channel, where you can share updates, start discussions, and build a sense of community.

How to enable Chat

There are two ways to enable Chat:

  • Go to Inbox, then Chat in your dashboard, and click Enable Chat

  • Go to Settings and toggle on Chat functionality

Once enabled, a Chat area will appear in your dashboard's left navigation, and your subscribers will see it in their site menu and app bottom navigation.

Getting started

  • Create your first thread to set the tone for your community

  • Let subscribers know Chat is live. Send an email or share your chat link (yoursite.theclubb.co/chat)

  • Encourage subscribers to turn on chat notifications by clicking the bell icon in the top right of Chat

Note: Subscribers are not automatically notified about new threads, so it is worth prompting them to turn notifications on.

Chat settings

In Settings (or in the Inbox, Chat section) you can choose:

  • Only you can start threads. Subscribers can reply and react

  • Allow subscribers to start their own threads

Moderating content

If someone posts something inappropriate, click the three dots next to the message in the dashboard to delete it.
