Overview

If you’re building a mobile app on Cogniss you’ll likely want to publish your app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the future. The first step to publishing your app is creating your developer accounts with Apple and Google. This article runs through the first steps in the process.

Apple Developer Account / App Store Connect

You will first need to enrol in the Apple Developer program, which you can do here. In order to submit your Cogniss-powered app, you’ll need to ensure that you enrol as an organization.

📌 There is an annual membership fee of $99USD, or equivalent in your local currency, for the Apple Developer program.

If you do not have an Apple ID you will need to create one to be able to enrol in the Apple Developer program. You can learn more about creating an Apple ID here.

Once you've created your Developer Account, you'll be able to access App Store Connect. This is where you will create your app for submission and manage your published app on the App Store.

Google Play Console

You can create your Google Play Console developer account here. Please ensure you choose the organisation account type when registering.

📌 There is a one-time fee of $25USD, or equivalent in your local currency, to register.

You will need a Google email address or Google account to be able to create a Google Play Console developer account. Learn more about creating a gmail account here.
