This feature is designed to help you monetize your app by providing users with the option to purchase additional content or features directly within the app.

This Feature is only supported by mobile app as it requires payment integration with Apple and Google pay.

App Creators cannot enable this feature on their own due to needing to set up third-party integration and the requirements of App Store/Google Play app ID’s. For this MVP, they will be required to contact the Cogniss team to enable this feature.

1. Process to enable IAP
Enabling the in-app purchase feature involves a manual process. Here’s what to expect:
Contact the Cogniss Team: Reach out to the Cogniss team to find out more details. This step will require further discussion and agreement on costing
Provide Subscription Plan: Submit your subscription plan to the Cogniss team for setup in the App Store and Google Play. If your app isn't yet in the store, the submission process will be required to enable this feature.
Set Up Third-Party API Account: Set up an account with the necessary third-party API service.
Cogniss Team Setup: The Cogniss team will configure Google Play, the App Store, and the third-party service, then enable the feature.
Deployment: The feature will be deployed to your instance to enable the IAP settings in your Creator.
2. What will happen after enabling IAP?
Once Cogniss team enable IAP, you will see the IAP setting menu in Creator > Settings > In App Purchase section.
After enabling in-app purchases (IAP), all activities not covered by the subscription will be disabled. Admin users will have unrestricted access to subscription-locked activities. All users, except for admin users, must upgrade to premium to access these locked activities.

3. Excluding Activities from Subscription-Locked
Steps:
1. Click the Exclude Activities button to open a popup.
2. Select activities to exclude from being subscription-locked using the search and filter options.
3. The popup allows you to organize activities under each subject and select them using checkboxes.
4. The button label changes to “Edit activities” once at least one activity is selected.

Customization: Use the editor in Creator to write a compelling subscription message.
Image: Optionally upload an image to enhance the subscription page.
Layout: The subscription page layout includes an image at the top, followed by the title and body message.

Customization: Use the WYSIWYG editor in Creator to write a message for users who successfully subscribe.

Disabling this feature requires assistance from the Cogniss team. To proceed, please contact the Cogniss team for help with disabling the feature and . Once the feature is disabled, all activities will be free to access.
9. Premium Account Rules
Device Linking: Premium accounts are linked to the user's Apple or Android account.
Restore Purchases: Future releases will support restoring subscriptions when switching devices.
