If you’ve created a class or assignment using a CoGrader-generated rubric, you can edit that rubric directly within the assignment. No need to duplicate or replace it manually.

Follow these steps to adjust the rubric to fit your grading needs.

Steps to edit a CoGrader-generated rubric

Open the assignment

Go to the assignment where you want to change the rubric.

Access a student submission

Click on any student’s submission for that assignment.

Note: The submission must not be approved yet. Approved submissions lock the rubric.

Find the Rubric.

On the right-hand side, under Customization, click the pencil icon next to the rubric name.

Choose to edit the rubric

In the pop-up, select Edit current rubric.

Make your changes

Adjust criteria, remove or add rows, and edit levels as needed.

Save the rubric

Click Save rubric. Your changes will apply to the assignment, and the updated rubric will now be available in your rubric library for future use.

Note

  • This method works for any rubric, not just CoGrader-generated ones.

  • Once you edit and save, the rubric is automatically saved to your library.

  • If the submission is already approved, you’ll need to unapprove it first to edit the rubric.
