[Schoology] How to Use CoGrader with the Schoology Integration for School Plans

Works best with:

Schoology assignments where students:
- Upload files directly (PDF, DOCX, JPG, etc.)
- Type into the submission box.

Schoology assignments created with Google Drive, OneDrive, or any other cloud-drive assignment tools
- In these cases, the student file is hosted in the Drive, not Schoology
- CoGrader cannot access those files directly due to platform permissions
- The alternative will be to follow the manual Schoology grading workflow.

Open CoGrader.
Click Grade Essay.
Choose Import from Schoology.
Log in using your Schoology credentials if prompted.
Browse your Schoology classes and select the class you want to import, then select the assignment under that class. CoGrader will automatically pull in the assignment prompt.
Set up your rubric. If your assignment already has a rubric attached in Schoology, you can recreate or import that rubric in CoGrader. See the steps on adding a rubric - HERE
Add Grading Parameters and Advanced Rules as desired.

Once your assignment and rubric are set, click Import and grade.
CoGrader will evaluate each submission based on your rubric.
You can review to make edits, add comments, or use the chat to revise the feedback. See steps on how to do that - HERE
Click Approve for each submission when you're satisfied.

Click the Export button.
Choose Send to Schoology. (You can also download feedback as PDF, CSV, or print it.)
Select which students and sections of feedback you'd like to export.
CoGrader will automatically attach a feedback file link to each student’s original submission in Schoology.
Students will see the link in the comment section (submission activity) inside their submission and can click on it to open the file.
