Overview
Marketers routinely need to perform customized rule-based tasks to improve the performance of their ad campaigns focused on improving metrics such as RoAS, Click-through rates, Share of Voice (SoV) etc.
The aim of campaign optimizer is to automatically support our strategy through use of software that adjusts key inputs such as bids and budgets based on our goals.
The Campaign Optimizer feature allows you to to create custom rules that specify certain conditions (the if-this part) and the corresponding actions to be taken (the then-that part) when those conditions are met.
This enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of your advertising efforts.
Capabilities
Let's break down some key capabilities related to this feature:
Rule-Based Automation: Campaign Optimizer enables users to create custom rules that specify certain conditions (the "if-this" part) and the corresponding actions to be taken (the "then-that" part) when those conditions are met.
Bid Management: By setting rules that adjust bids based on specific conditions, marketers can optimize their campaigns to achieve desired metrics.
Example: If a keyword is not meeting its set RoAS target, CIQ's automation rules will decrease its bid based on the poor performance.
Keyword and Search Term Optimization: Campaign Optimizer allows marketers to apply rules to keywords and search terms.
The Campaign Optimizer runs once a day at midnight and automatically takes actions on all qualifying entities.
Benefits
Efficiency and Time Savings: Campaign Optimizer not only improves campaign performance but also saves time and effort that would otherwise be spent on manual adjustments. Automated rules continuously monitor campaigns and make real-time adjustments as needed.
The key benefit Campaign Optimizer provides is that the strategy builder approximately takes ~3000 actions per day for each client minimising human intervention. This frees up 8-10 hours per day for the analysts.
