What is Absolute Vs Change when I choose a metric to plot/sort/filter?
For all metrics, you now have the choice to either sort or filter based on either the Absolute value or Pre vs Post Change value for the metric.
Example, if you want to sort the shelves where you have most SoV, choose Absolute. If you want to sort shelves based on where you’ve gained most SoV compared to the pre-period, choose Change.
How are we calculating PvP in Share of Voice?
To get a more accurate picture of SoV change over a period of time, taking into account the changing keywords we track over time, we are updating how we calculate Change in Share of Voice (only). We will only consider keywords which have data in both the pre and post time period while calculating Change in SoV. This has the following effect -
You will now see change in SoV more accurately, as we only consider keywords that have data in both time periods
However, the actual value of SoV on a day will be based on all keywords crawled that day
This means that there may be situations where the PvP follow doesn’t follow naturally from the graph

There are multiple ways to do this -
You can hover over My Brands in the pie charts, which will show you the breakdown of SoV by brand.
In the benchmarking widget, you can click on the first tile (which has My Brands). The drop down has every sub brand, which you can plot individually against competitor brands. You may also download this data.

To see Organic vs Sponsored Share of Voice for a shelf (standard or custom), add it to the filter. You can then plot them in Performance Overview > Trendline, and the tile will show you aggregate value over the timeframe.
Why is my increase in SoV more than current SoV?
This is a unique edge case due to how we do PvP calculation (see video). We are working on how to display the appropriate disclaimers when such data shows up on the UI.
How can I save the filters I have chosen?
The new Market Insights dashboard has the functionality to create Views, just like in Business Overview. You can set the filters, settings and time period you’re interested in, and save as View! You can then directly choose the View every time you use the dashboard.
How can I find keywords where I've lost most SoV?
First, choose the shelf you’re interested in

The Share of Voice in the Opportunity Analysis Dashboard is the Share of Voice defined in the Srttings tab of Market Insights (whether Organic, Page 1 and so on).
What is the midpoint in the Opportunity Analysis dashboard?

When in Keywords View in Share of Voice Breakdown, on every tile there is a symbol with 4 dots on the right - that represents the hierarchy tree the keyword is in.

Amazon Frequency Rank is the rank for how many searches the given keyword had across Amazon on a given day. This is a report available at a day level from Amazon.
How are we determining the department of a keyword, if it could fall in multiple departments?
We consider the largest department (by number of keywords) that the keyword is a part of, and show that department and the corresponding search rank.
What does it mean to have department NA?
The keyword was not found in any department in the Search Term Report by Amazon.
How are you weighing keywords where Frequency Rank is NA?
We give all keywords beyond rank 1 million on the Amazon Search Term report the same weight - this includes keywords where rank is not available.

[Coming soon] From the Performance Overview table view, you can click on a keyword to get its snapshot of Page 1 on any given day.

Does the new Share of Voice (SoV) calculation reflect in other parts of the dashboard, like Campaign Management and Business Overview?
Not at the moment - the weighted SoV numbers are visible in the Market Insights Dashboard only. We will work towards integrating these numbers across the dashboard in the next release.
When do we scrape the Product Pages (PDP) ?
Approximately between 10 AM - 2 PM PST; it varies within this time window.
Can I see only SoV keywords in the Opportunity Analysis dashboard? What if I want to create charts based on ALL keywords (Share of Voice + Advertising keywords)?
To see All keywords in the Opportunity Analysis Dashboard, choose one of the following in the global filters -
Filter for a profile
Filter for a custom shelf (which includes advertised keywords. For example, if you created the shelf from Campaign Management)
Then, in the chart axes and radius, choose ad metrics only (for example, Ad Spend, CTR etc). This will ensure All keywords are now a part of the dashboard. In case the number of keywords exceeds 600, you can either switch to Table View or add filters.
Note: Choosing ad metrics only to see all keywords is critical, since Share of Voice data does not exist for advertised keywords (which are not part of SoV list). These keywords get filtered out from the chart.
Who is our primary persona, and what is our strategy around this dashboard?
Please find the details in the PRFAQ document
What’s the plan for the existing SoV dashboard?
We plan to deprecate the old SoV dashboard in 60 days. We will monitor usage of both dashboards closely and understand if there are any gaps in the existing dashboard before deprecating. Going forward, we want to only have 1 dashboard for SoV across retailers - Market Insights.
Note: SalesOps Only customers will continue to have access to the old SoV dashboard.
I could do X in the older dashboard, however that is not available in Market Insights. Is there a plan to integrate all the older features?
The current functional gap identified between the old and new dashboard is snapshot of Page 1. We plan to integrate that in the new dashboard in the follow-on release. If there are any other functional gaps you are concerned about, please reach out ______.
Who has access to this dashboard?
Market Insights is available out of the box for CIQ-A and CIQ-U customers. SalesOps Only customers will continue to have access to the old SoV dashboard.
