1. Co-Ops – Introduction to Dashboard

Updated over 8 months ago

What are Co-Ops?

Vendor co-op funds or Contra COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) are promotional monies imposed by Amazon on vendors, in order to promote products, raise brand awareness, and increase traffic towards said products. Co-op deductions can also be imposed to cover inbound freight costs of shipping products to Amazon warehouses, and costs of damaged or defective returns of products.

The dashboard serves the following purpose:

1. Provide Visibility and Context:

  • Offer insights into the significance of co-op deductions as a challenge faced by brands.

  • Highlight the detrimental impact of invalid co-op deductions on a brand's overall profitability.

2. Drive Insights:

  • Highlights the evolving nature of invalid co-op deductions over time.

  • Presents a comprehensive view of disputes filed against such deductions and provide visibility into the status of filed disputes.

  • Showcases the corresponding recoveries achieved through these dispute resolutions.

  • Empower users with a clear understanding of the co-op deduction landscape, enabling them to make informed decisions and manage these financial aspects more effectively

3. Data Reconciliation Assistance:

  • Enables users to effortlessly download co-op reconciliation reports directly from the dashboard, eliminating the need for manual compilation of multiple reports from Vendor Central (VC) thus saving valuable time and effort.
