Assigning Schemes to your Classes filters the objectives you see when you are planning their lessons. You can create a basic scheme of work by deciding the relevant starting point for your class and adding the units that follow.
Before proceeding, you may want to take a look at this article we have written on identifying the most appropriate starting point for a class.
Creating your Scheme
Go to the Schemes page
Click on the '+ Scheme' button to create a new scheme of work
Give your scheme an appropriate title
Click the 'Add Unit' button to begin adding content to the Scheme.
Add your chosen collection of Units and Bespoke Units by clicking the '+' button next to each Unit block. You can investigate the contents of a Unit by clicking on the block.
Once you've added all the Units you want, close the modal.
Click 'Save Draft', and then 'Publish' when ready, choosing who you wish to share your new scheme with.
Additional Changes
• You can make changes to individual Units by clicking the 'Copy and Adapt' button (pencil icon) to the right of a Unit that's been added to a Scheme. Here you can add, remove, and reorder components of a Unit; Statements and Objectives.
• You can reorder Units within a scheme by using the up and down arrows to the right of a Unit that's been added to a Scheme.
• To remove any Units you've added, click the 'Remove from Scheme' button (minus icon)
• You can add further Units to the Scheme by clicking the 'Add Unit' button at the bottom of the Unit list.
To create more tailored schemes of work, you can create your own Bespoke Units, also found on the Schemes page. These bespoke Units can then be added to your schemes as above.
