Before proceeding, you may want to take a look at this article we have written on Creating a Scheme of Work. This can be done using units from the Complete Maths Curriculum or Bespoke Units!

What is a bespoke Unit?

A bespoke unit means you are able to build a unit on objective level which is the most granular view of mathematics in Complete Mathematics. There are approximately 1,600 objectives which make up the curriculum!

This means if you don’t want to teach every single objective in a unit already available in the curriculum, you can pick and choose which ones you want to add and then assign this as a scheme of work.

Creating your Bespoke Unit

  1. Click the Scheme tab on the top menu

  2. Click '+ Bespoke Unit' button to create a new Bespoke Unit

  3. Give your new unit an appropriate title

  4. Next under ‘Select Components’ click the '+' button to begin adding content to the Unit.

  5. You can choose to add entire statements or open those statements up and add individual objectives.

  6. Add your chosen collection of Statements and Objectives by clicking the '+' button next to each.

  7. Once you've added all the Objectives and Statements you want, close the modal.

  8. Click 'Save Draft', and then 'Publish' when ready

  9. If you now select '+ Scheme' you can toggle to Bespoke Unit and select the bespoke unit you created adding the classes you would like to assign this to.

Copy and Adapt

• You can make changes to any Bespoke units which already exist on the platform.

• To do this click the 'Copy and Adapt' button to the right of a Unit

• When Copy and Adapting a Bespoke Unit you can add, remove, and reorder the components which make up the Unit which can be either Statements, Objectives or both.

• You can reorder the components which make up the unit by using the up and down arrows to the right

• To remove any components you've added, click the 'Remove from Scheme' button (minus icon).

• You can add further components to the Unit by clicking the '+' button at the bottom of the list.
