Some answers to some frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a school token and a unique pupil token?

  • School Tokens are used to create new pupil TUTOR accounts connected to a particular school account.
    The school token is required as the initial step of creating a new pupil account.
    School tokens will be given to pupils or parents by teachers with TUTOR accounts.

  • Unique Pupil Tokens are used to connect Pupil accounts with a Family/Parent accounts.
    The pupil token is required as the initial step of linking a pupil account to a family account, after clicking 'Link a Child' on the Manage Family page of a Parent account.
    Pupil tokens are found in the My Memberships section of a Pupil's TUTOR Dashboard.

How do I know if I should 'Build new account' or 'Link existing account'?

  • If your child already has a TUTOR account through their school, then you should choose 'Link existing account'. You will need your child's Unique Pupil Token, found on their account dashboard.

  • If your child does not have a TUTOR account already, then you should choose 'Build new account'.

Why is my username and password not working?

Your username will be the email address you signed up using.

If you have created a TUTOR account, and your login credentials are not working, then we would recommend initially trying to reset your password.

Do I use the same username and password as my child?

No, parents should set up their own TUTOR Parent accounts. These can then be connected to the appropriate pupil accounts for progress tracking and support via the Manage Family page.

How do I set up a parent account?

You can create a new parent account here: https://tutor.completemaths.com/register.

How do I pay?

You can pay for your child/ren's use of TUTOR, and sponsor other pupils using TUTOR across the world, during the 'Link a Child' process on the Manage Family page of the TUTOR Parent app. For more information, see this guide.
