A tag is a way you can label a user (or administrator) account and then easily filter accounts by that tag.

For example, a teacher (administrator) has 100 students (users) in Conover Online and wants to be able to easily organize or filter their 100 students by class period. The teacher can create a "Period 1", "Period 2" and "Period 3" tag and then tag each student with the appropriate class period tag. Once completed, the teacher can now easily filter their list of 100 students down to just a certain class period.

Anything can be a tag but other common examples of tags include class name, class period, teacher name, campus name and departments. Each account can have multiple tags associated with it if you wish.

NOTE: Any system administrator or administrator can modify (including use, add, edit, remove and delete) tags for your entire organization.
