Consensus Unite offers two download options to meet different needs:

If you do not need to make any changes to the document, we recommend using Download from Browser - jump to the steps here.

If you need to make changes to the document, such as deleting or rotating pages, or if there are multiple attachments you wish to download simultaneously, we recommend using Consensus Desktop - jump to the steps here.

Download from Browser

  1. Click on a message in My Intake.

  2. Ensure you have selected the attachment you wish to download (it will be highlighted yellow).

  3. Click the grey download icon on the toolbar above the message preview (note: if your window is minimized, you will see three grey lines; click them to access the collapsed menu).

  4. If you need to mark the message as Processed, use the blue drop-down menu in the top right to select Mark as Processed.

  5. Repeat for any additional attachments on the message you wish to download.

Export with Desktop

  1. Click on a message in My Intake.

  2. Ensure there is a First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Gender included for the patient or add them using Patient Search, if available from your EHR. These details are used to name the file. You may fill out the other fields, if desired.

  3. Assign a Document Type for each attachment.

  4. Select the blue Download icon:

  5. A download modal will appear:

    1. The selected attachments will be downloaded by default.

    2. You may select if you want to include the message body.

    3. You may select if you would like to mark the message as Processed, so it only shows up under the Processed filter.

  6. Click Download.

  7. A Download Task pop up will appear:

  8. The message and attachments will be downloaded based upon the settings configured in Intake Download for your organization.
