If your EMR is integrated with the system for downloading messages, the Download to EMR button will appear to the left of the Reply button in the processing view for an Intake message.

To use this feature:

  1. Add or update patient details. If your EMR supports it, you can use Patient Search to add or update patient details.

  2. Add attachment information: a. Select a Document Type. b. Optional: Edit the attachment name and/or Document Date if desired.

  3. Select Download to EMR.

  4. All detail information added will be automatically saved upon selection of this button.

  5. Navigate out of the message by selecting a menu item on the left, clicking the Intake arrow, or automatically by enabling Return to Intake.

Example of downloading a Fax to EMR.

When the Download to EMR button has been selected, the color will change to orange. This is indicative of the message awaiting download. Once the message has been downloaded, the color will change to green.

After marking a message for download, the message will be labeled with a status of Processed and can be found under the Processed filter in your Intake. The color of the status indicator will initially be orange, but upon completion of the download it will change to green.

If there is a problem downloading the message, the status indicator will turn red and the message will update to a 'Suspended' status. This indicates there was either a problem matching the patient information to your EMR chart, or there is a problem with your integration's connection. Please contact support@consensus.com for assistance troubleshooting Suspended messages.
