Share your Direct address and help get fax out of healthcare!

The System provides the ability to send an email invitation to other providers or organizations, notifying them that you are transitioning away from fax and using the system to exchange patient documentation electronically using Direct messaging. A list of previously sent invitations may also be viewed.

To send an email invitation, select Send an Invite from the Connect with Others menu.

  1. Enter the full name of the provider or organization you wish to send to.

  2. Enter their email address.

  3. Select a Direct address for your organization to include in the email or leave blank if you prefer to utilize a third-party Direct address, such as one assigned by your EMR.

  4. Select Send.

When an invitation is sent through the system, the designated recipient will receive a letter in their email, inviting them to sign up for an account.

You can view previously sent email invitations by selecting Previous Invites from the Connect with Others menu. This will display recipient names and email addresses, as well as the date invitations were sent. The Accepted column will display β€œClaimed” if an invitee registered from the link contained in the email invitation. If they registered by some other means, β€œUnknown” will appear as the status in this column. To resend an invitation, click the icon in the Resend column.
