Dedicated to digital accessibility

We want anyone on your website to be able to use the Consent Studio cookie banner by default. On this page, which we will update periodically, we will share our progress towards this mission.

Our progress

  • The Consent Studio cookie banner can be operated using the keyboard.

    • Use the tab button to navigate through buttons and toggles.

    • Press the spacebar to toggle consent categories.

    • Press the spacebar or enter button on buttons ("reject all", "accept selection", "accept all") to trigger actions.

  • The Consent Studio cookie banner uses relative font sizing.

  • The Consent Studio cookie banner uses the default paragraph text color of your website.

  • The Consent Studio cookie banner respects a visitor's color scheme preference (light, dark).

  • The Consent Studio cookie banner also offers a native dark color scheme.

What still needs to be done

  • Making our cookie banner fully screen reader compatible through ARIA controls.

  • Making the cookie banner's cookie overview panel fully screen reader compatible.

  • Making the cookie banner's cookie overview panel fully accessible using keyboard controls.

  • Making autofocus on the cookie banner optional (i.e. when you already have your own logic in place for this).

We are considering having our CMP audited by an independent accessibility auditor once we believe our platform and UI have reached a certain level of maturity and the to do list is as short as can be.
