Getting Started

Once your KYC verification has been completed, you're ready to create your first product in COPE.

Whether you're selling coaching programs, online courses, digital downloads, memberships, physical products, or services, the setup process follows the same structure.

This guide walks you through every step, from creating your product to publishing your checkout page.

Overview: Creating a Product in COPE

1. Start Creating a Product

After logging in, you'll land on the Getting Started page.

Once your account setup is complete, you'll see a Create Product button.

You can also create products at any time by navigating to:

Products → Create Product

2. Choose the Right Product Type

The first step is selecting the type of product you want to sell.

COPE currently supports four product types:

Digital Product

Examples:

  • Online courses

  • E-books

  • Digital downloads

  • Templates

Digital Service

Examples:

  • Coaching programs

  • Consulting

  • Mentoring

  • Live workshops

Physical Product

Examples:

  • Books

  • Merchandise

  • Physical goods

Physical Service

Examples:

  • In-person workshops

  • Events

  • Local services

After selecting a product type, you'll be asked to choose a category and niche that best match your offer.

Don't worry if you make the wrong selection, you can change these settings later.

3. Add Images, Product Name, and Description

Now it's time to build your product page.

  • Upload Product Images

You can upload up to five images that represent your offer.

Choose images that clearly communicate what customers will receive.

  • Add a Product Name

Use a clear and compelling title that immediately explains the offer.

Write a Product Description

Your product description must contain at least 250 characters before the product can be saved.

Use this section to explain:

  • What the customer receives

  • Who the product is for

  • Key benefits and outcomes

  • Included resources or services

Tip: The more clearly you explain your offer, the easier it is for customers to make a purchasing decision.

4. Configure Additional Product Details

Optional product settings allow you to further enhance your offer.

Unique Selling Points (USPs)

Add highlights such as:

  • 1:1 Coaching Sessions

  • Live Q&A Calls

  • Lifetime Access

  • Community Access

You can add multiple USPs.

Internal Product Name

This name is only visible to you and your team.

It can be useful for internal organization and reporting.

Promotion URL

Add a website, landing page, or social media profile.

File Uploads

Upload resources such as:

  • Workbooks

  • PDFs

  • Audio files

  • Bonus materials

Customers automatically receive these files after a successful purchase.

5. Set Your Pricing and Payment Plan

Next, you'll define how customers pay for your product.

Choose Price Display

Select whether your product price should be displayed as:

  • Net Price

  • Gross Price

Select a Payment Plan

COPE supports three payment options:

One-Time Payment

Customers pay once during checkout.

Installment Plan

Split the total amount into multiple payments.

Subscription

Charge customers on a recurring basis.

You can also assign a custom name to each payment plan if needed.

Fixed Pricing per Currency

Selling internationally?

Use fixed pricing for specific currencies instead of relying on automatic exchange rates.

Example:

  • $2,000 USD

  • €1,990 EUR

This creates a cleaner and more professional checkout experience for international customers.

6. Configure Advanced Pricing Options

Advanced pricing settings provide additional flexibility.

Add Multiple Payment Options

Offer customers different ways to buy.

Example:

  • Pay $2,000 upfront

  • Pay $250 today and $100/month

Free Trial

Offer a free trial period of up to 30 days.

Refund Settings

Configure refund and cancellation settings separately for:

  • B2C customers

  • B2B customers

This allows you to apply the correct rules for each customer type.

Payment Methods

Choose which payment methods should be available during checkout.

7. Set Up Marketing and Availability Settings

Custom Thank You Page

Instead of sending customers to a standard confirmation page, you can redirect them to your own page after purchase.

Common uses include:

  • Welcome pages

  • Course access instructions

  • Upsell offers

  • Community invitations

Product Availability

Choose whether your product should be:

  • Unlimited

  • Limited

Limited availability is particularly useful for:

  • Coaching programs

  • Group programs

  • Events

  • Launch campaigns

8. Review and Publish Your Product

On the right side of the editor, you'll find a live preview of your checkout page.

You can preview:

  • Desktop view

  • Mobile view

  • Different currencies

This allows you to see exactly what your customers will experience before publishing.

Once you're satisfied with your setup, click:

Create & Publish: Your product will immediately appear in your product overview.

From there, you can:

  • Copy your checkout URL

  • Share your checkout page

  • Test the customer experience

  • Start accepting payments

Common Setup Mistakes

Product Description Too Short

Products require a minimum description length of 250 characters.

Missing Currency Pricing

If you sell internationally, consider setting fixed prices for important currencies instead of relying on exchange rate conversions.

Incorrect B2B/B2C Configuration

If you sell to both businesses and consumers, make sure your refund and cancellation settings are configured correctly for each audience.

You're Ready to Sell

Once your product is published, your checkout page is live and ready to accept payments.

Simply share your checkout link through:

  • Your website

  • Landing pages

  • Email campaigns

  • Social media

  • Advertisements

Your first sale is now only one click away.
