Cope automatically pays out your sales revenue to your bank account on file several times a month – you don't need to trigger anything manually. If you work with promoters, you can also see which commissions you still owe them.
This article explains, for vendors, where to find your payouts, how the individual amounts are made up and what information is available to you.
Where can you find your payouts?
You'll find your payout overview in the Creator area, in the left-hand menu under Analyze → Overview.
There you can see your current balance along with a breakdown of the relevant amounts.
What do the individual amounts mean?
The Balance summary shows at a glance how much balance you have and which fees have been charged.
Under Payment types, you can see what stage your balance is in:
Available: The amount currently available for payout.
Incoming: Earnings that have already been recorded but are not yet released for payout. They will be added to your available amount shortly.
Reserve: A portion of your earnings that is temporarily held back to cover possible refunds or chargebacks. Once there are no open cases, the amount is released.
Under Fees type, you can see which fees have been withheld:
Platform fee: The amount Cope retains for the use of the platform.
Dispute fee: The amount withheld for chargebacks - that is, when a buyer disputes a payment with their bank or payment provider.
Unclaimed promoter commissions
If you manage promoters with the “Vendor” setting, you can view additional details under Available. To do so, click Available > in the balance summary (highlighted in the screenshot above). A panel then opens on the right:
Vendor earnings: Your sales revenue that is available for payout.
Unclaimed promoter commission: The amount you still owe your promoters. This money is credited to you, but you are responsible for settling the commissions with your promoters yourself, outside of Cope.
Important: Unclaimed promoter commission is not paid out to your promoters automatically. You need to pay them yourself, outside the platform.
How can you see the details of a payout?
Further down the overview page, you'll find a list of your past payouts.
Payout date: The date the payout was initiated.
Payout ID: The unique ID of the payout. Click it to see all transactions it includes. There, and on the corresponding invoice, you'll also find the amounts attributable to your promoters with the “Vendor” setting – so you can see at a glance how much you need to transfer to each promoter outside of Cope.
Arrival date: The expected date the amount reaches your bank account.
Status: The current status of the payout, e.g. Paid.
Fee: The fee withheld for this payout.
Payout amount: The net amount paid out.
Action: Use the document icon to view the invoice for the payout, or the envelope icon to send it to your email address on file.
Frequently asked questions
When are payouts made?
Payouts are made automatically several times a month. You don't need to trigger anything manually. You can see when the amount is expected to reach your bank account in the payout list under Arrival date.
Why is my available amount lower than my earnings?
Part of your earnings may be held as a reserve to cover possible refunds or chargebacks. In addition, the platform fee and any dispute fees are deducted.
What is the reserve and when is it released?
The reserve is an amount temporarily held back as security for possible chargebacks or refunds. Once there are no open cases, the amount is released automatically.
What is the dispute fee?
The dispute fee is charged when a buyer disputes a payment (chargeback). It is then withheld from your balance.
What is the unclaimed promoter commission?
This is the amount you still owe your promoters with the “Vendor” setting. It is credited to you with your payouts, but you need to pass it on to your promoters yourself, outside of Cope. So don't count this amount as your own revenue.
Can I view the invoice for a payout or have it sent to me?
Yes. In the payout list, you'll find two icons under Action: the document icon shows the invoice, and the envelope icon sends it to your email address on file.
Where can I see the exact breakdown of a payout?
Click the Payout ID in the payout list. There you'll see all individual transactions that belong to this payout.
