Firearm Detection alerts send real-time notifications to specified groups whenever an unholstered or threatening firearm is identified on selected camera feeds.
Before starting, ensure you have set up a notification group. To create the alert, navigate to Alerts > Create Alert > Firearm Detection. Name the alert, add and configure the cameras by defining their areas of interest, and set the desired weekly schedule and daily time window. Finally, select the notification groups to notify, and then save the alert.

Before you begin, ensure the following:
You have created a notification group that contains the users you want to notify. To learn more, refer to Creating a Notification Group.
To create a new Firearm Detection alert:
Access the Coram web app and sign in to your account.
From the main navigation menu, select Alerts.

In the top-right corner of the page, click Create Alert > Firearm Detection.

Type a name for the alert.
Click Add Cameras.

Select the cameras you want to monitor for the alert, then click Save.
For each camera that you selected, define the area of interest. You can set the entire image as the area of interest (
, selected by default), or draw a rectangle (
) or a polygon (
) area.
From the Days dropdown menu, set the weekly alert schedule:
Daily: The alert is active every day of the week.
Weekday: The alert is active only every Monday to Friday (inclusive).
Weekend: The alert is active only on Saturdays and Sundays.
Custom: The alert is active on the days you select from the day picker.
To set the daily start and end times for the alert, provide the Start Time and End Time in the 12-hour format (for example, "3:15 PM").
From the Notification Groups dropdown menu, select the notification groups you want to include for the alert. To confirm your selection, click anywhere outside the dropdown menu.
To save the alert, click Create Alert.
